Task 1: Summary of the legal framework of the use of ICT in the ESO

SUMMARY OF THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK OF THE USE OF ICT IN THE ESO

For the legal framework, ICTs remain as meaningful tools for linguistic undertakings. Learning how to use ICTs in the English classroom is essential as long as it facilitates access to a broader selection of data and research techniques. ICTs provide EFL students with digital assets that enhance self-learning, self-assessment and oral and written interaction within virtual environments. Also, cooperative learning is enabled by ICTs such as blogs, wikis, webquests, or Google+. Likewise, plenty of sources are found online to train either oral or written skills for different levels. EFL learners in ESO must become aware of the necessity of handling ICTs properly so that they are able to filter and select information. As ICTs are present in EFL stundents daily habits, doing the most of ICTs is a cross-curricular competence since it goes beyond any mere linguistic goal. In other words, digital competence is relevant in communicative competence.
